Separate three layers
| Layer | What it specifies | Example question |
|---|---|---|
| Hand rules | Valid sequences, sets, wild cards | Is this declaration valid? |
| Scoring | How a deal becomes points | Which unmatched cards count? |
| Event format | How results select an outcome | Do cumulative points or round wins decide? |
An original three-round teaching format
- Use the same published hand convention for every group.
- Play three scheduled learning rounds with no entry fee, purchases or prizes.
- Record raw scores and have each participant confirm them.
- Rank the exercise by the agreed score method after all three rounds.
- Resolve equal results by an announced rule, such as an equal-place finish, rather than inventing a tie-break after seeing names.
What a format announcement should include
- Who can participate and the expected session length.
- The deck, joker and declaration rules used.
- The scoring method and whether any results are discarded.
- How interruptions, withdrawals and equal results are handled.
- Who can correct a recording error and when a result becomes final.
Do not confuse a leaderboard with safety
A polished ranking screen says nothing about publisher identity, file integrity or product eligibility. If an app advertises a tournament, examine its actual terms instead of inferring the model from the word. Our selection framework keeps those checks separate.
